Samsung’s Galaxy Watch ‘Charging Cradle’ is affordable

Charging Cradle

A few weeks ago, Samsung’s website listed a Galaxy Watch Charging Cradle with few details. The cradle is now available in the UK for £20.

When the Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro were debuted, many consumers found a design issue that prevented them from using a wireless charger. A band with less elastic memory could fix this.

Samsung designed the “Galaxy Watch Charging Cradle” to tackle this issue. This charger lets you set a Galaxy Watch off a surface, letting the bands swing free.

Samsung’s UK site now has the Charging Cradle. “Add to basket” appears to allow cradle purchases, but we haven’t tried it.

Samsung expects you to use the charging puck supplied with your Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which explains the cradle’s low pricing. This means you can use the new charging cradle to charge older Samsung wearables like the Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 3, and Watch Active 2.

Pre-production photographs on Reddit make us wonder why Samsung didn’t tilt the watch display for easy access or as a bedtime clock. We’re not shock the community has already produced similar 3D-printable designs with small quality-of-life improvements.

Then what? Does Samsung’s stand correct a wrong? Is this a realistic, no-nonsense charging option for Samsung’s wearables? We’re unsure, but appreciate another choice. If you want to personalise the Watch 5 Pro while fixing its flaws, you can get one of the best Galaxy Watch 5 bands or 3D print a stand.
