One UI 5 based on Android 13 is now in beta for the Samsung Galaxy S20

Samsung has opened One UI 5 beta programmes for the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, and the Galaxy A52, allowing consumers to sample Android 13 before the stable rollout. The company has established a Galaxy S20 beta programme in its native market.

One UI 5 beta for the Galaxy S20 series now live in South Korea, according to a Samsung forum post. Users in the region can join in the programme through the Samsung Members app. After registering, users should receive One UI 5 via OTA update.

Customers of the Galaxy S20 BTS Edition cannot access the One UI 5.0 beta

BTS Edition users can’t join the Samsung S20 One UI 5.0 beta in South Korea. Samsung told Korean Galaxy S20 customers in a Members post, although it’s unclear why. BTS fans in and outside of Korea may be interested in beta firmware.

If you own a Samsung S20 in South Korea, follow our tutorial to install One UI 5 beta. You don’t require a device backup. Leaving the software midway will result in data loss. Be prepared for stability difficulties and bugs when installing beta firmware.

Samsung’s quick One UI 5 testing suggests a release soon. The Galaxy S22 series should get the stable update first. One UI 5 for the Galaxy S22 should be released in October, with more devices following in November.
