The Nothing Phone 1 has good sales numbers in India with launch partner Flipkart. This is ideal for a new participant in India’s competitive market.
Manu Sharma, VP & GM of Nothing India, told us that the Nothing Phone (1) had over 100k sales in India at the end of August. Over 100k units were sold on Flipkart in 20 days.
Sharma stated the Nothing Phone (1) is Flipkart’s best-selling INR 30,000+ smartphone. About 10 million buyers pre-registered for the phone on Flipkart.
Nothing announced its fourth major software release, Nothing OS 1.1.4. Sharma said the update will correct customer-reported issues and improve the camera and battery. The business did not specify the upgrade’s release date or specifics.
No word yet on global sales, so it may be too soon to call the phone a success. The Nothing Phone 1 is on track to beat the Essential Phone in India, if it hasn’t already.
Essential supposedly sold 100,000 devices after four months, while an analyst claimed it only sold 88,000 after six months. The Nothing Phone 1 debuted last month. Nothing has more momentum or has already beaten Essential.
