Motorola debuted the Moto Razr just hours after Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4, but two more phones also launched. Motorola X30 Pro and S30 Pro exist.
The two new Motorola flagships are unique to China, like the Moto Razr 2022.

Motorola X30 Pro:
First phone with 200MP camera is Motorola X30 Pro. Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor has f/1.95 aperture, OIS, and 16-in-1 pixel binning. The 200MP camera bins its 12.5MP pixels 16-to-1 to 2.56m. It can output 50MP stills with 1.28m pixels or 200MP with 0.64m. Main camera can record 8K at 30fps.
The second camera sensor is a 50MP ultrawide module, and the third is a 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom. A 60MP selfie camera in a screen cutout uses Omnivision’s OV60a sensor.
Motorola X30 Pro has a 6.67-inch curved OLED with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh. The panel has 1,200 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+ certification, and a fingerprint scanner.
Moto X30 Pro has 8/12GB RAM, 128/256 or 512GB storage, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Android 12 and MyUI 4.0 cover software.
X30 Pro has a 4,610 mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging (0-100% in 19 minutes). Motorola X30 Pro comes in black and white and costs $548 for 8/128GB and $668 for 12/512GB. China sales open today.
Motorola X30 Pro:
Motorola S30 Pro has a curved 6.55″ OLED screen and 144Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide module, and a 2MP depth sensor. Front punch-hole houses a 32MP selfie camera.
S30 Pro runs Android 12 with MyUI 4.0 and has a 4,400 mAh battery with fast charging. The phone is black or blue with a faux leather finish. Entry-level 8/128GB costs CNY 1,999 ($326) and top-end 12/512GB costs CNY 2,899 ($430). China sales open today.
Can we expect the launch in US?
Motorola has reemerged with the X30 and S30 Pro this year. These models are currently only available in China.
The X30 Pro may be called Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in the US. It’s unclear if only the name or specs will change.
Motorola S30 Pro is a mystery for the US market. Depending on Motorola’s US price, one of these two phones could be one of the finest in 2022.
