Google released Android 13 stable to Pixel smartphones and AOSP. Motorola and other OEMs will get Android 13 later this year. We now know which Motorola devices will be updated to Android 13 before the official deployment. See below.
List of Motorola Phones getting Android 13
This week, Google’s Android 13 update went live, and Pixel phones were the first to get it. Even though it’s not yet available on most Android devices (except Oppo devices), it will be soon, and manufacturers are getting ready. Motorola is one of these companies. It has come forward and confirmed a list of devices that will get the long-awaited update.
GSMArena found that on Motorola’s page for security updates, you can click on the “Select your product” tab and then see a list of the company’s products. When you click on a specific product from this page, the details for some of the devices will say “Next OS.” At the moment, it looks like there will be a total of 10 devices that will get Android 13.
There are currently 10 phones that can get Android 13 when it becomes available for phones that aren’t Pixels. This includes the most recent mid-range phone, the Motorola Edge (2022). To remind you, it is the first phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset. It also has a 144Hz AMOLED display, 50MP rear cameras, a 5,000mAh battery, and more. Here is a full list of all the Motorola phones that will get Android 13.
- Motorola Edge (2022)
- Motorola Edge Plus (2022)
- Moto G Stylus 5G (2022)
- Moto G 5G (2022)
- Motorola Edge 30
- Motorola Edge Pro
- Moto G32
- Moto G42
- Moto G62 5G
- Moto G82 5G
The new Moto Razr 2022 should also be on the list, but it’s only available in China right now, so the global list hasn’t been updated yet. But nobody knows when these phones will start getting Android 13. Also, we expect more Motorola phones to be added to the list, maybe when the rollout starts.
Android 13 brings a lot of new features, such as new colour themes for the Material You design, per-app language support, an updated media player, spatial audio support, and a number of privacy features, such as the ability to delete the clipboard history and allow notifications.
