Leaks suggest Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will contain a temperature sensor, greater battery life, and a new look.
Evan Blass and 91Mobiles leaked 3D renders of Samsung’s next smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, a month before their August launch. The renders show both watches from every aspect and match other leaks.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is the rumoured successor to last year’s Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The bad news is that there’s no trace of the fan-favorite rotating bezel in these renders. There’s only one model size, 45mm, vs two last year (46mm and 44mm).
The Galaxy Watch 5 standard is simpler. It’ll supposedly be 44mm and a lower size. Both it and the Watch 5 Pro will include physical buttons on the right of their screens, LTE connectivity, GPS compatibility, and 5ATM water resistance, meaning they can survive at 50 metres for 10 minutes.
It might betray the Classic model
The Galaxy Watch 4 has normal and Classic versions, while the Galaxy Watch 5 may not. Sam Mobile said Samsung will release the Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro. The ordinary Galaxy Watch 5 will come in two sizes, but the Pro version may just one. Uncertain if Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic’s rotating bezel to the Galaxy Watch 5 or 5 Pro. While the site didn’t offer details on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, the new branding could imply a big overhaul.
Evan Blass said Samsung’s future watch will have ordinary and “pro” models. He shared what he claims are official renders of the new watches on 91Mobiles.
Expected Features
WinFuture’s in-depth look at the Galaxy Watch 5 series shows all three sizes and colours. The Galaxy Watch 5 is 40mm and 44mm, while the Pro model is 45mm. The smallest variant is grey, pink, and purple to match Samsung’s current devices. 1.19″ 396×396 AMOLED display for compact watches. Compared to its huge brothers, it’s little. 284mAh is a 15% boost over last year’s 40mm model, but it’s nothing compared to Samsung’s larger models this year.
Both watches will run Google’s WearOS 3.5 and Samsung’s One UI Watch 4.5, according to Blass. A prior report stated they’ll enable 10W rapid charging, not 5W. Blass said both watches could be introduced next month at Samsung’s Unpacked presentation. New Galaxy Pro earbuds and Flip and Fold foldable devices are also expected.
