Amazon ‘s Blink Floodlight is specially made for any unwelcomed guest

Amazon Blink Floodlight

Amazon ‘s Devices & Services Event announced new Blink and Ring smart security cameras. New Amazon Blink floodlight camera, Blink Mini motorized mount, and Ring spotlight cams. The Blink floodlight camera isn’t available for pre-order yet.

Floodlight Blink camera

The Blink Wired Floodlight camera uses Amazon’s AZ2 processors to process video locally, without streaming to the cloud.

“The Blink Wired Floodlight Camera is our first wired floodlight device, and it adds to our array of easy-to-use, reliable, and cheap security devices,” said Blink COO Mike Harris. Its all-in-one security and illumination design and price below $100 make it a great value. Plus, it uses Amazon silicon to deliver features like computer vision and local video processing.

The Blink Wired Floodlight camera costs $100. It contains “preferred motion detection” zones and person detection so cats, badgers, and butterflies don’t send unnecessary messages to your phone.

LED lights provide 2,600 lumens, and the camera records in 1080p with HD live view. The camera can store footage locally using a USB flash drive and “Sync Module 2.” You can store videos and photographs in the cloud with a Blink subscription.

Blink Mini Pan Tilt

The Blink Mini Pan Tilt mount is the best friend of the Blink Mini camera, giving it the power to pan and tilt so you can look around, following your pets, kids, and burglars around your house.

Amazon’s Blink Mini camera costs $35. The $30 Mini Pan Tilt mount may be fitted to a camera with the supplied USB-C connection. New bundles featuring a camera cost $60. Blink lets users pan and tilt. The mount covers the entire room.

The Blink Wired Floodlight Camera will be available in the coming months in the U.S. for $99.99, while the Blink Mini Pan Tilt is available for preorder today in the U.S. and Canada. Amazon’s Blink website has both devices.

Two Ring Cameras

New Ring highlight cameras are also coming. The Ring Spotlight Cam Pro uses radar to identify distance and enables you configure alerts to only tell you of activity within a specified radius – handy if you want to watch your own yard but must install the camera where it can view a sidewalk or part of a neighboring property. Plug-in and battery versions cost $230, and solar costs $250. Pre-orders begin today.
