Dell’s Alienware brand unveiled the Alienware 25 and 27 gaming monitors. The Alienware 27 is more high-end, whereas the Alienware 25 focuses on e-sports. Neither of these is as high-end as Alienware’s 480Hz laptop display.
By default, the Alienware 27 has a refresh rate of 240Hz, but it could be cranked up to 280Hz. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Nvidia G-Sync, and VESA Adaptive Sync. It’s a 1ms Nano IPS panel with 95% DCI-P3 coverage, making it excellent for content creation and gaming. Creator Mode in the OSD improves colour accuracy and uniformity for content production. DisplayHDR 600 is also supported.
The Legend 2.0 has a hexagonal base for a reduced desktop footprint, allowing gamers additional keyboard layout options and mouse space.
You’ll have to settle for 240Hz native (overclockable to 280Hz) and 1ms GtG response time.
Alienware says the monitor’s 95% DCI-P3 colour spectrum and Vesa DisplayHDR 600 certification provide “an immersive gaming experience.”
The Creator Mode lets you choose between DCI and sRGB colour schemes and change gamma, making it excellent for designers, photographers, and other creatives.
The 27 Gaming Monitors has AlienFX lighting, 360-degree ventilation, enhanced cable management, and an adjustable stand. Built-in headphone stand on 25in model.
Alienware 25 and 27 will be available in Ireland on 7 and 6 September, respectively.
